Expect nothing less than pure warmth and luxurious softness with our Knitted Baby Alpaca Vest. Wear over a dress or shirt and pants to keep the cold at bay or add as an extra layer under your coat when the temperatures dip. This chunky vest comes in one (free) size, with open sides and a wooden button, allowing it to fit many body types.

Every Vest is unique since it is hand-knitted, hand-spun and hand-dyed using natural dyes by our partner artisans Millma & Qaytu in Peru. Ethical, sustainable and stylish, all in one.

Design Details

Your Knitted Baby Alpaca Vest is handmade in small batches by women artisans from Peru. The Alpaca yarn is spun by hand, and hand-dyed using a range of nature dyes like onion, cochineal, indigo, walnut and cacao seeds. Due to its crafting process, each piece is unique.

At JULAHAS, we carefully consider all the materials that we work with, choosing to source naturally and locally so that our carbon footprint is minimal. The Alpaca’s grazing habits make them gentler on the earth, they tread softer, and consume less food and water. Alpaca yarn is as strong as it is soft, is biodegradable and also hypoallergenic as it’s lanolin-free.

One for One

For every purchase you make, we plant a tree in your name. We send you a digital e-Tree Certificate with a link to a location marker showing where the tree was planted.

With our One for One model, in partnership with social enterprise Grow-Trees, we address community, women and nature. Tree planting generates employment for the village women, regulates the climate while improving the soil quality, which benefits farming communities.

Your impact

True to our ethos, through this new collection we want to offer long-lasting pieces with a low carbon footprint and high social impact by providing work to those who need it the most — rural women. We support artisans and true craftsmanship around the world, as every community has a beautiful story to tell.

Our Handknitted Baby Alpaca Vest is 100% natural, luxuriously soft and handmade by women artisans from Millma & Qaytu.
