Design description

Colour-blocks meet heritage craft in the Cape Fusion Dusty Pink, a 15-in-one versatile layer that pairs modern geometry with a colourful patti border. Handwoven in fine, light wool, it offers year-round warmth yet stays slim enough to slip into your bag.

Designed in Amsterdam and handcrafted in the Himalayas, its smart armhole placement allows endless styling — long as a poncho, short like a scarf, or belted as a dress.

Honouring Kinnauri traditions through our partners at Bhuttico Weavers’ Co-operative, the border uses locally favoured cashmilon yarn to achieve crisp, vivid motifs. By blending authentic techniques with contemporary colours, each small-batch piece celebrates the meeting of old and new.

This is the lightest cape!!! It has changes how I view my wool capes- bringing them fully into 4 season clothes! Is mid August here in Maine, and will reach 80 degrees later today, the this fusion is the absolute perfect addition this morning! Thank you, Julahas!!!

Julahas graphic fusion with wool& black Rowena, Summit leggings, and Landmark cardigan; plus a scarf from the Viking ship museum in Copenhagen, and a Viking ship necklace from the same museum in Oslo.

I am in California and willing fall into existence today so I can wear my light wool cape (graphic) for the first time at work. The only other time so far was as a car blanket on our way to the beach. Such a versatile piece that has me feeling like Linus taking my security blanket everywhere I go. 💋

When Ingrid recommends an item for you, buy it...without hestitation! I tried and tried and tried to make the plum fusion cape work with my wardrobe. I've learned, if you have to force it, it doesn't work. I have to love something to wear it, and I didn't love plum fusion, on me. Ingrid suggested the dusty pink fusion. I thought it was too light of a color for me, a leaf autumn. Over the next couple of weeks I would keep returning to it, looking at it, looking up styled photos in this group and I finally purchased it. Why did I wait so long 😭 I can say two things with 1000% confidence...Ingrid was right and the photos everyone so generously shares are so very important!

My OG teal purple fusion has been on and off all day over my bodysuit. I also played around with my new-to-me IKAT belt as a head wrap and I love it! So comfortable.

In my very Irish-American family, wearing green in March was always something that I very much enjoyed. I found myself pulling out my imperfect Light Wool Cape Fusion Green today and reminded myself that while there may have been a blizzard here just a few days ago, spring is on the way! I love the fusion weight because the are wonderful for layering anytime of year!

My Imperfect Light Wool Cape Fusion Amethyst came today and it is instant love, and today’s #jootd - I am so in love! I love wool& Marionberry and this will be so complementary. I love how the colors of the cape paired with my now natural hair color make my face shine. I have no clue what my “colors” are, in a season sense, but I’m starting to get a sense of the colors that make you see ME be the colors that make the garment the center of attention. I still absolutely love all my brights, but these more muted colors make me feel like I’m glowing. My Light Fusions (I bought my first in July of 2022) are staple of my wardrobe, and I wear them year round. I’m so excited to add this one to my rotation!

The cape Fusion amethyst is deliciously soft and I really love the striped pattern. The colours fit perfect into my wardrobe. Straight out of the pocket it already was as soft as my Daria cape became after a couple of wears, and also this cape gets even softer and keeps it‘s airy feel.

Today I tossed on my very first Julahas- this well loved old style fusion cape in teal purple. I snagged this off BST, and it was well loved, I think maybe washed and slightly shrunk, but still incredibly soft and cozy. This was a great first peice because I didn't feel like I needed to baby it, and in wearing it, realized that they don't need to be babied. They will get snags, and that is okay! So now all of my new capes live life without big worry ♡ Today I paired it with Woolx Charlotte (which is sadly being discontinued) in Riverbank Green, which is a great match! Woolx leggings and my trusty Birkenstock boots round it out.

Plum Fusion 💜 I got this plum fusion cape AGES ago, but had never yet reached for it. It is lighter weight, and I found myself reaching for heavier layers in MN winter. I decided I should give it a chance or list it on BST, so today I am giving it a chance. 🙃 Thoughts. It is super soft, light, and airy! I wasn't crazy in love with the light part of the cape being in front (which I am wearing the short way), so I have that folded under the deep brown/plum part (see photo where I circled the part I have folded under). The cape is so lightweight that trick actually works pretty good and isn't too bulky! With a little more time, care, and patience I think I could probably get it to lay nicer too. This one is standard armhole spacing, and petite is really better for me, so that is something to consider as well.

I’ve just recently purchased my first two Julahas and am looking for advice on fit. I took advantage of the fusion teal purple that had the irregular border to get that colorway since it hadn’t been available for a while. It was only available in petites but I’m fairly slim so that seemed like it would be a good fit.

Went to Cincinnati today for the river boat festival. We took the lunch cruise on the Natchez that came up from New Orleans. I was quite comfortable in my Cape Fusion Teal. First time wearing and I love it! Great weight and beautiful colors.

Went to Ford’s Garage for dinner tonight. What a perfect time to wear my new “imperfect“ cape fusion red. I’m in love with this cape and I cannot find any imperfections 😁

My Fusion blue cape (imperfect) arrived yesterday! It as love at first sight 😍 I’ve been wanting a blue cape but always seemed just too late. It was meant to be so I’d get this one. It’s so beautiful and soft. It came when I was really in need of a pickup, as it was eye shot day. Wrapped up in it on the couch all evening and felt much better.

Whenever I wear one of my Julahas pieces, someone always wants to know where they are from. How amazing to tell about the materials and about the company's values. So thanks, it's easy in every way to wear clothing like this. 🍀❤️

I ove these capes as they are the perfect weight for Bay Area weather and they really dress up anything. This is cape 5 I think although I'm loosing track

The greens and the purples today

my delivery was at my doorstep this afternoon!!! DHL found it and brought it to the right address! Thank you so much for all your support and kind words - it helped a ton! I love every cape I got, so so amazing!!! I ordered 4 Julahas capes (second order after loving my very first order last week)

This week I was at the engineering conference and wore my Julahas on stage! But this post is about a different story! On a second day of the conference I was room captaining with another member of conference program committee and A/C was blowing strongly at the front row where we were sitting. The other room captain was freezing and since I had my second Julahas in my bag I gave it to her. She then felt warm and went on stage to drive Q&A with it and now she is planning to order her own Julahas and was blown away by the amount of options! Other two ladies I met took note of the name of the brand:) I am feeling like an influencer now:) here is the photo of the lady I shared my Julahas with during the Q&A on stage.

I don’t know if it’s possible to usurp Zanskar, as my favorite, but if so, this is the cape that will do it. Amethyst is stunning! This is a cape I can wear all four seasons due to its beautiful color combinations. It has a richness and yet a softness to it at the same time. Absolutely beautiful.

The reds in this cape are everything! And the weight is perfection!

I finally got a chance to try out some styles with my two mini halves from a Fusion Dusty Pink. Yep, both halves for me, lol.

Sharing the teal purple fusion styling! I love the color combo on this cape, but I hadn't realized the more pastel shades were most prominent when worn short ways (my fav way to wear!). The pastels are pretty, but not great with my coloring, so I wasn't sure if I would keep it or sell it (and subsequently see if I could get one with the arm holes placed so that the darker colors are on top when worn short - btw totally love that this is sometimes an option, it really makes for beautiful customized work). I basically built my wool& capsule challenge around this cape to test it out the last 9 days. I think it works? If I wear it with darker tones as a base layer or adjust to maximize the darker tones exposed on the cape, I think I can pull it off 😊

Layered under the kimono is Halfsies cape Red fusion. I halved the fusion to make smaller capes for my kiddos. They liked them, but they are definitely a tad too small to take care of more delicate fabrics, so I may have reclaimed them for myself for now. I generally love the drama of the large capes, but the Halfsies are kinda perfect for layering under shorter jackets/kimonos!

This is an absolutely beautiful, soft and lightly warm cape. The fusion wool is my favorite amongst the Julahas I have acquired this far - softer than Daria, sillier than cotton, and much smoother than the wool silk blends. The colors are some of my favorites and go well with so many outfits. I love that the designs on top and bottom are different so you get different looks depending on how you wear it.

I absolutely love my fusion teal Cape. Can’t wait for the temperatures to drop a bit to wear it more again. It goes perfect with all my teals, greens and browns.

When I first unpacked this, I was underwhelmed. I like my capes in vibrant colours and Dusty Pink is not hat. It is subtle. However, wearing it for a bit and pairing it with a range of pieces, I have fallen helplessly in love with this beautiful cape. The colours may be subdued, but they add easy elegance to a number of outfits. The material is super soft and lightweight, and the overall design with the intricate border and stripes is a real eye-catcher. Not my last Fusion cape for sure!

This cape is a stunner. The teals and blues are harmonious and I particularly love that the upper part shows the lighter colours when you wear the cape the long way. It leads to such a pretty colour gradient. I am in love!

Fusion teal arrived Friday and I’m in love! The weight and hand feel are just lovely and I finally had a chance to play with it today. It’s still 100 degrees here, and I’ve been running around all weekend, so this photo dump comes to you just out of the shower with wet hair and no bra given that I wasn’t about to put one back on 🤣. This cape goes with pretty much everything, although I think the combo with beetroot is my least favorite.

This is my last full day of my 15 day challenge with my imperfect Graphic Fusion. Today I'm pairing it with my BST Charcoal Audrey I got yesterday. I love both.

Sea glass arrived today. What a lovely shade and works nicely with the teal fusion I already had on today.

A parcel of goodies arrived today: Fusion Teal customised to have the darker colours near the face when worn long, seagreen wool crop kimono with longer sleeves, and a Turkish towel ready for my next sea swim 😊 Straight out of the bag, still with folds - but I know I will get a lot of wear out of these! Beautiful colours, soft to touch, and first class customer service to offer customisation like this! Thank you Kanak Hirani Nautiyal and team!! PS: can you have too much teal in your life? 🤭

I like the combination of Fusion Plum and Zuri Begonia 😊

Making friends with my new Fusion and “softening it in” 🙂 Inspired by your many different ways of wearing the capes on top of the 15 styles on the website, I have just discovered the little “sleeve” and I quite like it.

I have had the teal fusion cape in my closet for a while. When I took it out of the package, I didn’t love it. I was thinking I'd eventually sell it. But then yesterday i was wearing a wool& Sloan and Goldie. And got curious. And omgoodness I LOVE this cape!

Dusty Pink Fusion on Wrap London dress mauve

Oh my, look what arrived today just in time for freestyle friday 💖 I'm in love, sigh. Thank you Ingrid Cremers for suggesting this beauty as replacement for plum, I would never have considered it due to its name dusty pink 😉 Thank you Kanak Hirani Nautiyal for sending it my way this quickly!! This is exactly why I love this group!

Finally got cold enough to layer. I’m wearing Wool& Marionberry axis, beetroot Natalia, and purple fig Camellia with Julahas plum fusion cape and purple wool silk kimono. So toasty and colorful. I got a compliment at the brewery.

Julahas is a keeping me warm in DC. Cape teal fusion this evening for a vendor reception and dinner with new friends. I am loving this higher ed conference. Feeling very refreshed and inspired.

On Saturday for my NYC outing with friends I carried two Julahas items because I knew the temperature would change so I went from wearing my Musclin scarf Cerulean Blue to my #JulahasCapeFusionplum which also went very well with my Zuri Linen Midnight dress. I Love the versatility of all of these clothing styles.
