Artisan communities all over the world are struggling to keep their age-old heritage alive. The Indian Himalayas is just one region where lack of opportunities have created large scale migration to cities in search of employment.
This has forced artisans, most of them women, to give up on the one thing that makes them experts - their craft. At JULAHAS, we work with rural crafts groups in remote villages, empowering them with new skills and confidence, while connecting them to global markets.

These materials are sourced locally in order to reduce our carbon footprint and effect on the environment.
Each JULAHAS product is made with minimal to zero waste and comes in a reusable cloth shopper- For every purchase made, we plant a tree as part of our One for One initiative.

As a small business located in Amsterdam, we believe that brands don't have to be faceless. Our founder, Kanak, plays a large part in every aspect of the brand.
