Products and Sizing

What's the difference between Cape Daria, Celestial, Fusion and Cotton?

All 4 Capes are the same style and size but different in quality, colour and weight.

The Cape Daria is handcrafted from a thicker, heavier wool (550 grams) and uses colour blocks for variations in the design. It is priced at €149.

The Cape Celestial is lightweight, ultra soft (like Pashmina) and crafted from a finer wool (350gms). It comes in monochromatic uni colours and is priced at €139.

The Cape Fusion is also lightweight, ultra soft (like Pashmina) and crafted from a finer wool (350gms). It comes in colour-blocks with an embroidery detail on one side and is priced at €159.

The Cotton Cape is a medium weight (500gms) Cape that uses colour-blocks. It is handwoven from an extra soft cotton and can be washed in the machine on a normal cycle, unlike the other two Capes, which must be hand-washed.

All 4 Capes are different in colour, quality and weight but are equally versatile and multifunctional!

Do you customize Capes on request?

It is possible that you might be on the border of two sizes! If you want to change the placement of the armoles to make it wider or have it closer together, you can always get in touch. We offer a free customization option upon consultation for our petite and plus size customers before you place your order. Let us know by mailing us at info@julahas.com whether customization is an option for you and we will request more information from you about the desired distance between armholes.

What is the difference between JULAHAS Petite, JULAHAS Standard and JULAHAS+?

JULAHAS Petite is a recent addition to our collection upon request from our petite sized customers. The Petite Cape measures 115cmx155cm and the armholes are placed at a distance of 38cm. It fits from sizes XS-M.

JULAHAS standard is a comfortably large, one size cape (45"x65"/115cmx165cm) can be worn in 15+ innovative ways and usually fits up to size US 16 / EU 48. The stylish cape has armholes that measure around 30 cm or 11.5", so that it sits on the shoulders when worn, instead of slipping off.

JULAHAS+ is designed to fit from sizes L-XXXL and measures 115cmx 175cm/45"x69". The armholes are placed 54cm/21" apart and the slits are 36cm/14" long.

How does my JULAHAS Cape go from long to short?

Just FLIP your Cape upside down (180 degrees) to create a whole new style and make it go from the long way to the short way. It is as simple as that!

When worn long, the Cape looks like a jacket or dress. To make it short like a vest, FLIP IT around (turn it over 180 degrees) so that the long part goes on top and becomes a big warm shawl around your neck. With the Cape Daria, changing the length also changes the colour of your cape, because of the use of colours blocks.

My product has irregularities. Is that normal?

Weaving irregularities give the cape its unique character. This uniqueness comes from the handmade crafting from our team of talented artisans who create a single cape over weeks, using traditional crafting skills on a wooden handloom.

How often do you sell the Imperfects?

Our Imperfects are capes that are sold at markdown prices because they have more than the typical irregularities. We believe in a zero waste policy and offer our Imperfects for last two weeks at the end of each quarter.

How do I repair loops in the Capes?

The best way to repair or reduce the damage is by looking at the direction of the pulled thread and stretching it back in place. To do this hold your Cape a few centimetres on either side of the loop and pull until you see the thread sitting back in place. That should help reduce the damage or even repair it completely. You can also look at this How to Repair VIDEO.
