From village to wardrobe
It takes a village to nurture, to grow and to produce something wholesome and valuable. We found that village in Dev Bhumi and Himbodh, our production partners and hero tailors Anjali and Firoz, who collectively help bring your products to life.
Now more than ever, the environment is our biggest responsibility. All our products are handcrafted with 100% natural and responsibly sourced local materials, handmade in small batches, often at home.
We use fresh air and bright sunshine to air-dry our products after they are first washed.
As all the production happens in and around neighbouring villages and communities, neither the artisans nor the raw materials travel long distances. Waste water during the chemical-free dyeing process is recycled for agriculture. And when the final product makes its way to the city tailors from the villages, it does so as luggage on commuter buses, greatly diminishing our carbon footprint.
Additionally, through our 1=1 model, we plant a tree for every purchase.
Since our production process stay within the network of nearby villages, friends and family, more women are encouraged to join. This gives them financial independence and stability, all by staying within their communities, doing something they love and working at their leisure - one garment at a time.
