The Cotton Cape Equal Aubergine is designed for all people and bodies — versatile, sustainable, and functional. Made from mid-weight cotton, it features coconut shell buttons, loops, and drawcords that let you style it long, buttoned as a vest, short with a hoodie, or even folded as sleeves.
Handmade in small batches by artisans in Bihar, each cape is woven from 100% cotton and dyed with non-toxic, AZO-free colours. With zero-waste armhole placement and endless styling flexibility, the Equal cape is practical, durable, and one-of-a-kind — ready to move with you anywhere.

When I first saw this cape I really wasn’t sure about it, but there were some really strong selling points, especially since it is a cotton close weave. Then as I saw several people start to style it, it started getting more interesting. When I went to the pop up, there were so many gorgeous things including the new Trudi, but once I tried this cape on, I just absolutely loved it.
This cape is so versatile and fun!!! It allows you to create the looks you want without needing a belt or having it untuck. I absolutely adore this cape!!!
This lovely cape is a recent purchase of mine and my first directly from Julahas.
I have worn is multiple times since I purchased it and styled it several different ways, but mostly I’m a team basic lady. I love how easy it is to wear, even when transferring from my wheelchair to other places. My favorite way to wear it is with the shorter length towards the back. It goes with so many of my closet options making it a versatile piece.
I am loving how versatile and sturdy cape equal is. I am enjoying playing with the loops and buttons and creating different outfits. I am wearing it like a dress in the picture and received many compliments on it. It’s a winner.
I have the teal and tan of this fantastic cape and have added the blue and black to my fashion toolbox. I layered today with a fun jumper in green and a pendleton wool dress that I wear as a duster. I stopped in to see my friends greenhouse pumpkin patch and the perfect place for pictures. Layers are critical here in alaska and today I love my outfit and the warm layers. These capes are so versatile. I've even used them as a blanket on the airplane.
This was my second Julahas cape and first cotton cape.
The blues are my kinda blues - from denim to denim 😊 and all shades denim!

I love my cape Equal! So many possibilities with the cords, buttons and the elastic loops, the fabric is great and it is excellent for layering and spicing up an outfit! And the price is perfect for trying out a first cape. The design reminds me a bit of former Dutch brand Cora Kemperman, size inclusive before that was a thing. Her designs were always standing out for being versatile and quirky, and this cape sure is much fun to play around with!
Love this! The fabric has a lovely drape, but is still substantial. The colors are great with jeans, but it seems to go with most everything really well. The buttons, loops, and ties make creating different looks so easy. This is a really fun addition to my wardrobe!
I LOVE the Cape Equal in blue. The colors remind me of my favorite pair of jeans and this cape works perfectly with my wardrobe. It's soft and so far, easy to wear. With the buttons and loops there are many ways to style it and I look forward to learning all I can do with this cape. I have other wool capes but wanted a cotton one to take to Morocco with me next week. Even though it's winter there right now, I think this cape will be perfect for 60 - 70 F degree days and slightly cooler nights.
