With full sleeves, inner ties, and a detachable belt, it flatters both relaxed and defined silhouettes. Minimal embroidery along the borders adds a refined finish.
Handmade in small batches by Bhuttico Weavers’ Co-operative in Himachal Pradesh, the fabric is woven on traditional looms while borders are crafted by women artisans on smaller home looms. Dyed with toxic-free colours and finished through a process that uses leftover yarn and fabric, every piece is timeless and one-of-a-kind.

Bundled up for a winter walk ❄️
OK, it was a helicopter! I’m sure the people in it were looking down at this mesmerizing spot of color on the ground and wondering what it could be. Well, among other things, it is a versatile indoor-outdoor garment that lifts the wearer up whether worn loose, or simply belted, or draped and styled with just a bit more ‘fussing’ and attention to accessories. If I just changed out my hiking boots for tall boots, I’d be ready for a dinner and theatre outing. As is, on this bright November day I’m ready for a couple of errands and then a slow walk on a trail in the woods, where the natural fibers of my cocoon coat will feel right at home.
Why did I hesitate so long to order this? The cape coats are amazing. They drape beautifully and the intricate borders are pieces of art. The colour is spot-on for my palette and while I was worried it would be “too much”, it really is not. I’m wearing this piece a lot as an outer layer when it’s cool and always feel like a million bucks putting it on. Fantastic design!

Eeeeeeeks!!! After a harrowing search for my lost Julahas package (it was shipped quickly and arrived quickly at the DHL hub nearest me in Dayton but then it didn’t move for a week and when I called they said they didn’t have it! A quick call to Julahas Customer Service and it was discovered to have gotten accidentally redirected to San Diego 😩). Once its location was discovered, it was on its way to me and arrived within a single day!! Yay!! Now if only I could have accompanied it on its vacay to the West Coast!! 😆 No matter!! I have waited to order a Cape Cocoon coat until mustard was back in stock and I love it every bit as much as anticipated! The color is so rich and saturated and the patterned trim is so bold and in those colors I adore: chocolate brown, deep plum, olive green. SWOON! We have all experienced seeing a Julahas product and just knowing it was meant for us! This was one of those for me and it does not disappoint! And it arrived just in time for a cold snap.

I love the cocoons. They are highly versatile for in and outdoors, and quite warm. The wool quality is very good so that you get an item to stay, and they make a simple outfit look elegant. This mustard one has a very warm, vibrant colour which is something different and an eye-catcher. Am very happy with this one in particular.
Exquisite and on repeat!
This cape coat is GORGEOUS. I was not sure if I would like the color, and even after it arrived, I was not sure. But, once I put it on, it was so nice. I wish we weren’t headed into summer because I want to wear it now! If you are on the fence about this coat (in any of the beautiful colors. stop thinking about it, and just do it. You will not regret it.
